NE 25th Avenue will be resurfaced from Commercial Boulevard to NE 40th Street starting on Monday, March 10. Resurfacing is expected to be completed on Wednesday, March 12. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

• NE 25th Avenue will be open to local traffic only from Commercial Boulevard to Bayview Drive while resurfacing is underway on Monday, March 10 through Wednesday, March 12, 2025, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• One lane of NE 25th Avenue will remain open. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic in the area as needed.
• Driveway access may be temporarily impacted while resurfacing is taking place immediately in front of the driveway. The contractor will attempt to coordinate with neighbors prior to the start of this work.
• Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.

Update: Friday, January 17 at 3:30 p.m.

• The sewer force main installation has been completed. Crews are restoring landscaping, irrigation and driveways that were impacted by construction.
• Once the restoration is completed, NE 25th Avenue will be resurfaced from Commercial Boulevard to NE 40th Street. Driveway access to some homes will be temporarily limited for approximately 24 hours during this work. The contractor will coordinate with impacted residents prior to the start. Roadway resurfacing is expected to be completed in February 2025.
• Overall completion is expected in March 2025.

• Traffic control personnel are available to assist NE 25th Avenue residents as needed.

Update: Thursday, July 11 at 4 p.m.

Crews are arranging segments of new pipe along NE 25th Avenue in preparation for underground installation using trenchless technology. Once the new pipe segments are connected, they will be installed during a continuous operation over a 24-hour period starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 15 through 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

• During the installation, driveway access will be unavailable for ten homes along the west side of NE 25th Avenue south of NE 48th Lane from 7 a.m. on Monday, July 15 until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16. The impacted homes are: 4725, 4711, 4705, 4631, 4621, 4611, 4601, 4531, 4511 and 4501.
• Temporary parking for impacted neighbors has been secured along NE 21st Avenue west of NE 25th Avenue. Golf carts will be used to provide shuttle access between these homes and the temporary parking area. To request shuttle service, neighbors should text Alejandra Suarez at 305-775-5370 and include pick up address (parking area or home address) and number of passengers.
• Neighbors with questions or those who need special arrangements for shuttle service should text Alejandra Suarez at 305-775-5370 as soon as possible to discuss their situation.

Since construction began on Monday, April 22, 2024, crews have completed underground work and temporary restoration as part of Phase 2 along NE 25th Avenue between Commercial Boulevard and NE 48th Lane. Construction on Phase 3 along NE 25th Avenue from NE 48th Lane to the Coral Ridge Country Club is expected to begin on Monday, June 17. Work will generally take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Some overnight work may be required. Overall completion is expected in spring 2025. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The City of Fort Lauderdale is working with David Mancini & Sons, Inc. to replace 10,000 feet of sewer force main along NE 25th Avenue from Commercial Boulevard to the Coral Ridge Country Club in the Coral Ridge Country Club Estates neighborhood. This project includes:

• Installing new sewer force mains measuring 24-48 inches in diameter made from high-density polyethylene to replace the existing cast iron force mains
• Connecting the new sewer force mains to nearby existing lines, including those along NE 49th Street and NE 48th Lane
• Resurfacing the roadway as needed

Construction will begin on Monday, April 22, 2024, and is expected to be completed in spring 2025. Work will generally take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Some overnight work may be required.

Crews will install the new sewer force mains utilizing a combination of open-cut and trenchless technology to expedite completion and minimize impacts to the community. This project is Phase 2 and 3 of sewer force main improvements in the area. Phase 2 will take place along NE 25th Avenue between Commercial Boulevard and NE 48th Lane. Crews will then continue Phase 3 along NE 25th Avenue from NE 48th Lane to the Coral Ridge Country Club. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• NE 25th Avenue will be closed between Commercial Boulevard and NE 48th Lane Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting Monday, April 22 through early June 2024 for the installation of new sewer force main. Traffic control personnel will provide access to NE 25th Avenue residents. Drivers will be detoured to NE 24th Terrace, NE 48th Lane, NE 25th Avenue, NE 47th Street and NE 26th Avenue.
• One lane in each direction of NE 25th Avenue between Commercial Boulevard and the Coral Ridge Country Club may be closed during construction. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.
