Fire Museum-2025The Fort Lauderdale Fire & Safety Museum at Historic Station #3: Preserving Our Heritage

Nestled in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, the Fort Lauderdale Fire & Safety Museum is housed in the beautifully restored 1927 firehouse known as Station #3, located at 1022 West Las Olas Boulevard. This unique and historic building has been thoughtfully transformed into a non-profit educational center, dedicated to preserving and sharing the proud legacy of Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.

Supported entirely by generous community donations, the museum offers visitors an engaging and informative experience that highlights the evolution of fire service in the city—from vintage firefighting equipment and memorabilia to personal stories of bravery and dedication. In addition to its historical exhibits, the museum places a strong emphasis on public education, offering dynamic group programs focused on fire safety, emergency medical response, and severe weather preparedness. These programs are designed to be interactive and memorable, ensuring that children and adults alike walk away with life-saving knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the men and women who protect our community.

Our website offers several ways you can support our dual goals: preserving the proud history of the fire service and promoting vital fire safety education. These efforts are a key part of our commitment to the community, and we work hard to make our programs accessible to the public as soon as possible.
