About the Division
The Public Works Department's Engineering Division provides project management for upgrades to the City of Fort Lauderdale's infrastructure.
Our team of professional engineers, construction managers, inspectors and administrative personnel provide internal project management, contract administration and development services which benefit our internal and external stakeholders.
Diverse project types include improvements to:
- Beaches
- Bridges
- Fire stations
- Parks
- Roadways

- Seawalls

NE 16 Avenue Asphalt Improvement Project
The City of Fort Lauderdale and All County Paving will be resurfacing the road and applying new pavement markings along NE 16 Avenue from NE 56 Street to NE 17 Avenue in Coral Ridge Isles.
Construction will begin on Thursday, May 18, 2023, and is expected to be completed on Friday, May 19, 2023. Work will take place Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Impacts

Crews will attempt to coordinate with neighbors prior to the start of work.

On-street parking will not be permitted while construction activities are taking place.

One lane in each direction of NE 16 Avenue may be closed during work hours. Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed.

Access to driveways will be maintained unless work is taking place in the immediate area across from the driveway.

Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.
