DESCRIPTION:<p>&nbsp;The City of Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, and the Department of Sustainable Development invite you to attend an informal Public Outreach Informational Meeting regarding the proposed text amendments City’s ULDR to meet state airport zoning requirements.<br><br>The meeting will include exhibits and information related to the state’s requirements for Airport Zoning and the City’s proposed amendments to meet them.&nbsp;<br><br>Attendees may visit at any time during the open-forum meeting.&nbsp; Airport staff and consultants will be available to answer your questions throughout the meeting timeframe.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>Overview<br>Florida Statutes (F.S.), Chapter 333, Airport Zoning mandated changes that require a review process for obstructions to airspace around public-use airports and heliports within airport protection zones. The state statutes stipulate that aviation facility owners are mandated to codify existing federal requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br>The City of Fort Lauderdale owns the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport and Downtown Helistop.
