Compassion will take flight at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE) on Saturday, November 16, for the 6th annual Uptown 5K on the Runway. People of all ages are invited to participate in a 5K fun run/walk on the FXE runway, where people, not planes, will take off from the runway. Over the past five years, more than 4,000 people have participated in this one-of-a-kind experience -- no boarding pass or luggage fees required. Although there is no registration fee, all participants are required to register. Boarding begins at 7:30 a.m. and takeoff is at 8:30 a.m.
