DESCRIPTION:<p><b>&nbsp;<b>Edible Food Forest at Snyder Park</b></b></p><p><b><b><b>3299 SW 4 Ave&nbsp;&nbsp; (Up to 30 volunteers)</b></b></b></p><p><b>Every Fourth Saturday&nbsp; - </b>9:00 am – 11:00 am,<b>&nbsp;</b></p><p>Imagine walking through a native forest and bending down and picking basil, bananas and other edible plants along the way.&nbsp; Volunteers are needed to help work on this urban farm by planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting.&nbsp; There is plenty of free parking in the park.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><b><u>Important Volunteer Information:</u></b></p><p style="margin-left: 40px;">•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The event is open to all caring neighbors, but minors should be at least 8 years of age and must be accompanied by an adult!</p><p style="margin-left: 40px;">•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Proper attire is a t-shirt and pants - things you do not mind getting dirty!</p><p style="margin-left: 40px;">•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Due to the outdoor activity, it is recommended all volunteers wear a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent, plus bring their own water and snacks</p><ul>    <li>&nbsp; All tools will be provided.&nbsp; However, for your personal comfort we request that you bring your own pair of garden gloves!</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><b>For more information contact team leader Joan Starr at </b><a href="mailto:&#106;&#115;&#116;&#97;&#114;&#114;&#64;&#102;&#111;&#114;&#116;&#108;&#97;&#117;&#100;&#101;&#114;&#100;&#97;&#108;&#101;&#46;&#103;&#111;&#118;"><b>jstarr@fortlauderdale.gov</b></a></p>
